The Weight Loss Programme For Women Who Want The Results That Will Make Them Happy

The Background

On July 17th, 2017, I started working with 23 women in the beta test of a seven weeks fat loss programme called, "Get That Body". The goal was to help as many of those women as possible drop 1-2 dress sizes in seven weeks. It was a distance programme. Everything was online, and no physical contact was required.

We finished the programme on Sunday, September 3rd and this is how it went down.

The Goal​​​​​​​​​

My goal with the beta test was to test my Minimum Effective Dose plan. I wanted to see what the result would be if I gave the women a minimum effective dose for nutritional guidance, exercise programme, coaching, group support and accountability.

For example, I only gave the women a nutrition plan, and each week I would ask them to create a weekly meal plan from the nutrition plan. Also, the exercise programme was a simple walk/jog interval routine. Nothing fancy.

There was also no group support and group accountability. Participants were not required to post their workout and foods in the private Facebook group.

No peer support. No group accountability. But everyone got personal support and accountability from me throughout the programme. I did that on purpose because I was testing my Minimum Effective Dose plan.

The Results

About 25% of the women dropped out of the programme. All the drop outs happened in the early weeks.
(The dropout rate is low compared to the industry average of about 75%).

Of those who completed the programme, quite a few dropped one dress size. Nobody dropped two dress sizes.

The highest weight loss by one person was 12kg, and the lowest was 4.5kg.

The person who lost 12kg dropped 1 1/2 dress sizes. The other women who dropped one dress size lost between 6-7kg each.

The programme was during the holiday/summer vacation. So, I'm impressed with the results. Holiday/vacation seasons are not the best time to run a weight loss challenge. You know what I mean.

What's Next

As previously mentioned, what I did with the beta test was to test the Minimum Effective Dose for nutrition guidance, exercise programme, group support and accountability the women would need to reach the programme's goal of dropping 1-2 dress sizes in seven weeks.

I was happy that I did the beta test because it allowed me to see what would work, where participants would have the most challenge, what I would need to add and what I would need to remove. 

The Final Programme:

    I reduced it to a four weeks programme. The goal was to replicate the seven weeks result in four weeks using my Maximum Effective Dose plan

    I renamed the programme 28 Days Rapid Results. The new name is appropriate since the final product is going to be a condensed and a better version of the beta test

    I added weekly meal plans to the nutrition plan so that participants don't have to worry about creating their own meal plans from scratch

    I created a new fat-burning exercise programme. The workout routine for the beta test was a simple walk/jog interval workout

    I kept the personal coaching and support from me as it was during the beta test.
